It all began in 2018, inside the walls of Bank of America—proof that love can be found in the most unexpected places (even at work). I was minding my business, heading to the restroom, when Torrence happened to spot me while talking to his grandmother in a nearby room. He swears he wasn't stalking me, but we know the truth. Me? I didn’t even see him. From that moment on, he made it his mission to figure out how to talk to me, and let’s just say... the man had a plan.

What followed was some good old-fashioned workplace plotting. Torrence enlisted our co-worker and his partner-in-crime Shamika to help him "accidentally" cross my path. He made sure he was always the first to help when I needed anything, popping up like a hero with perfect timing. Little did I know these two were scheming behind the scenes like matchmaking masterminds.

Eventually, Shamika threw a cookout at her house and invited us both. Spoiler alert: it was a setup. A successful one, too—because from that day on, things between us started to change. Friendship turned into something more. We laughed more, talked longer, and spent time outside of work. That photo you see at the top? It was the very first one we ever took together—not knowing then that we were capturing the beginning of forever. And just like that, our story truly began.

Over the years, we’ve faced our share of ups and downs, but every moment has brought us closer and shaped us into the couple we are today.
